In this wine, Casal da Coelheira sought to revive an ancient winemaking practice using clay amphorae. We chose the traditional Fernão Pires grape variety, whose must fermented together with the skins, seeds, and stems, followed by a prolonged maceration (curing) period of three months.
This tanned wine has an intense color, great aromatic complexity, and a strong structure, resulting in a wine with high gastronomic versatility. Everything indicates that it will also have great longevity.
We recommend serving it between 53 and 57ºF (12 and 14ºC).
